Hello and welcome to my blog.

By means of introduction, I think it is only proper for me to start with my name – and its correct pronunciation.

My name is Orode, and it is pronounced or – raw – day. Just in case you were wondering.

I don’t particularly mind how my name is pronounced, so far the sounds made by the person calling it bear some semblance to the letters in the name (just so I can know I am the one being addressed.)

Now, about this blog. Here are some of the things I am going to be talking about.

MARKETING COMMUNICATIONS IN CANADA AND THE WORLD

This blog is primarily going to feature my thoughts on the happenings in the marketing communications industry. I will be talking about trends, news, and much more.

Amongst many other jobs, I have worked in advertising as a copywriter, in a corporate firm as a brand and marketing manager, and I am now working as a public relations specialist.

My interest in the communication space is very broad, and I will be talking about different aspects of public relations, marketing communications and everything in-between.

SOCIAL ISSUES, LIFESTYLE TOPICS AND MORE.

I would also be talking about things that interest me in general. I am quite passionate about social issues, especially concerning women, relationships, justice and more.

General lifestyle posts will also be featured here on the blog.

It is going to be a potpourri of professional and person ramblings and I hope you enjoy it.

I wish I could confidently say “If I think it, I will blog it” but nah, I still have a bit of filter.

However, though I cannot assure you of what the next post is going to be about, I can assure you that it will not be boring.
