Journey so far: A short story about me.
Once upon a time
Storytelling used to mean just folklore and fairy tales to me. Today, I live to tell stories.
My story started sometime in 2007 when I told entertainment stories as a TV presenter and producer. I later evolved into editing stories for a film production company.
However, for the last 8 years, I have focused on helping businesses grow by creating compelling brand stories for their consumers.
With impactful integrated marketing campaigns, I made a substantial contribution to the growth of several brands in Nigeria.
My wealth of experience comes from working in notable marketing communications agencies like TBWA, Insight Publicis and STB-McCann.
Over the years, I have acquired a couple of certifications to aid my professional growth. Firstly, I have a Bachelor in arts from the Department of Theatre Arts and Mass Communication at the University of Benin. Secondly, I have an MBA in Marketing from the University of Lagos. I also have a certificate in Communication from the University of Toronto and advertising training at the Cannes Lion International Festival of Creativity, France.
New Beginnings
This year, I began a new chapter in my story, as I went back to school to study Public Relations – Corporate Communications at Seneca College.
At the end of the program, I hope to be able to take my brand-storytelling skills to a deeper, more impactful level as a Public Relations and Corporate Communications specialist in Canada.
The Story Continues
My journey is an ongoing tale of adventure, creativity, and hard work, driven by my mantra – where there is a will, there are always ways.
I hope you come along with me on this journey, by following the stories I will be sharing on this blog.
